The Connection Youth Services

 The Connection Youth Services (TCYS) provides assistance to teens and families in crisis. TCYS is located in Howell, Livingston County, Michigan. TCYS is a program of the Livingston Family Center, a non-profit United Way agency. TCYS is primarily funded by state, federal grants and private donations. The Connection Youth Services provides assistance to youth and families including:

  • 24/7 Toll Free Crisis Intervention and Referral telephone line.
  • Safe emergency housing for teens between 12 - 17 years old.
  • Transitional Living Program including Host Homes and Apartment program for homeless youth between 16 - 20 years old.
  • Case Management services.
  • Individual and family counseling.
  • Support groups and other activities for teens and parents.

 Whats Happening at the White House:

  • Drop-In Center Open Monday- Thursday (2pm-7pm) at the White House. Located at 616 W. Grand River, Howell. Stop by to see whats new, meet our staff, and find out more about us!
  • iGrow A hands on group that uses games, activities and art projects to increase self-awareness and give an opportunity to express yourself in a creative way. Meet Mondays at 4:30pm at the White House.
  • Negotiations Learn coping skills, dealing with anger, and managing stress. For teens 12-18 years old. Meet Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:30pm at the White House.
  • Got Skill??? Get ready for adult living! Learn about health, decision making, nutrition, jobs, budgeting, apartment life, and much more. Interactive, fun and informative! Meet Wednesdays from 5-6:30pm at the White House.
  • True Colors "Fly Fly"--- Yes it is! A confidential support group. Call (810)623-5892. Ask for Vickie.
  • Parent Support Are you worried about your teen? Do you need help regaining your authority as a parent and setting limits? Mondays at 6:30pm are Parent Support Meetings. Call Joann at (517)552-3975 for more information.
  • The Connection Youth Advisory Council We are looking for teens who are wanting to make a difference in their community! Meets twice a month. If you are interested call Matt.
